User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0
Build ID: 20141030112145

Steps to reproduce:

I upgraded my Mac to Firefox 34, and after restarting all my text boxes have either disappeared (like DPReview), or become disabled (like Google and Hotmail). When the text box was actually visible, if you click on it the text box doesn't become "live", no cursor and you can't type anything in. Again this was AFTER UPGRADING to Firefox 34 Mac. I tested this on a second Mac with the SAME RESULTS!

Actual results:

After upgrading to Firefox 34, all textboxes either disappeared or became disabled.

Expected results:

The text box should appear, or if visible become live.

Please provide a public example URL where you see the issue.

Do you still see the issue in the Firefox safemode ?

Grrr....Tried it in safe mode and everything is working again, so it's an Add-on that's causing the issue. I'll have to wait until I'm back at work to see what Add-ons are on both machines. Will keep you advised. Otherwise as I said above the issue happened with ANY site with a text box, including Google.

The graphic hardware acceleration and other things are also disabled in the safemode but it's very likely that the issue is caused by an addon.
I don't know how many addons you have installed but disabling one half in about:addons (Addon Managaer) followed by a restart if required is usually very easy to do.

btw: "Any site" is too unspecific without one exact example because some people visit only a special set of pages that I never visit and their "any site" doesn't match my "any site" :-)
The troublesome addon is "Keyfixer" 0.5 by Mathew Ball, http://mavaball.net/wiki/index.php/Keyfixer As a PC user who is forced to use Macs this is an addon I NEED as I regularly use the Home and End keys to move in a textbox and I don't like the way it normally works on the Mac, so I installed this addon from the beginning of using Firefox on the Mac to make my life easier.
Well, here's a screenshot from THIS site...so you can see the missing text boxes with Keyfixer enabled vs. having it disabled:

It's easy to understand how I could see Firefox being the blame here since it happened with the update, especially when there was a recent update that changed the appearance of online forms.

Although how an addon that remaps keys could causing that issue, although it only happened AFTER Firefox was updated!
This bug should be marked as invalid, as it appears to be an issue with a specific add-on (Keyfixer), as noted above.

I have sent an email to the add-on developer pointing him to this bug report.
marking invalid per above comment. Please reopen if it is determined Firefox is at fault here.

I apologize for my extension having broken Firefox in such a dramatic fashion! I'm also a little confused as to how a change to key bindings would cause text areas to disappear. I haven't been using a Mac for a while, so have been relying on bug reports like this.

I've started poking around a little, but will need some time to investigate. My biggest hurdle currently is not having good access to a Mac for testing. I'll provide further updates on the keyfixer extension website as I make more progress. For those inclined to help with technical debugging, I've also got a github copy of keyfixer here:
